Cook for Good

The financial crisis in Greece between 2009 and 2019 hit some parts of society hard and we could hear quite often from Municipalities and NGOs how many families struggled to overcome financial difficulties causing them not being able to cover basic needs like food, clothing, heating etc. We therefore organized many “Cook for Good” events with the aim to provide large amounts of food to as many families as possible. The one we love most is the one held in the indoor basketball court of my kids school. On a Saturday evening, a group of more than 210 volunteer adults & kids cooked and prepared 800 packages of food and 300 fruit salads within 3 hours. Our goal was to support the unprivileged families of the Lykovrisi Municipality by organizing a dinner upon delivery of our cooked food at the City Hall. The dinner was a great success and the appreciation even greater giving us a big boost to continue leveraging our event planning expertise to create social impact.
